Logistics Operative
Location: Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 3LX
Salary: £25600 plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Perm/FT/ 37 hours – job share or part time working may be considered. Successful candidate will be required to be on-call on a rotational basis (this attracts an on-call payment as well as overtime payments for any additional hours worked)

As a Logistics Operative within our clothing stores based at RAF Brize Norton, you will play a vital role in the Logistical support of the Royal Air Force, helping to fulfil its operational and peacetime obligations.
A physically demanding role where you’ll be responsible for the distribution and handling of stock as well as ensuring accurate stock control. You will be greeting customers and engaging with people when they are collecting their orders. We want you to have really strong customer service skills and attention to detail to help us deliver the best customer service possible whilst ensure accuracy of stock holdings.
What you’ll do as a Logistics Operative
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Delivery of excellent customer service
- Distribution of clothing and protective equipment items to customers via counter collect and drop in
- Frequent use of IT systems to manage emails and stock control
- Storekeeping and day to day management of stock

- Good understanding the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experienced in the use of IT systems

Vetting and Checks
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) process, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, the role requires you to obtain formal Security Clearance (SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
