Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Lecturer to join our Adult Nursing Department, to enhance the leadership team of the BSc (Hons) Adult nursing course, supporting the delivery of high-quality services across the University.
In this role, you will develop and manage undergraduate / post graduate programmes, including the operational administration, curriculum development and quality management of the curriculum. Key responsibilities include managing and enhancing the day to day running of the nursing programmes, ensuring alignment with accreditation to relevant professional institutions where appropriate. This role will involve working closely with students, internal teams and external partners to ensure services are efficient, compliant, and aligned to the University priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Learning Experience – Oversight of operational processes such as timetabling etc.
- Research, Enterprise and Scholarship – Identify sources of funding / projects either individually or collaboratively for consideration in future REF census activities.
- Managing People and Resources – Contribute to the overall school management team.
- Pastoral Support – Undertake personal academic tutor role oversight of student progression
- Liaison and Networking – Lead and develop networks, chair and participate in committees
- Academic Administration – Quality assurance, external assessment and accreditation responsibility for programmes.
Essential Requirements
- Course Leadership Experience
- NMC Registration in Adult Nursing
- Teaching Qualification
Desirable Requirements
- Experience of regulatory standards and quality compliance for nursing programmes.
- Clinical and Academic leadership, prior line management experience.
- Research active or a willingness to work towards enterprise and further scholarship awards
- Experience of developing internal and external networks and partnerships.
- Senior Fellowship with HEA
