Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager – Capital Projects to join our Group Procurement team on a permanent basis. The role will be based at our Merlin Technical Hub office based in our thrilling Thorpe Park Resort in Chertsey, Surrey. Hybrid-working is available for those looking for more flexibility.
We’re looking for a Senior Procurement Manager – Capital Projects to lead the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality, and compliant procurement outcomes for the UK, EU and APAC regions. You will be responsible for tendering, supplier selection, contract management, and supplier performance oversight while collaborating with key internal stakeholders. Your expertise in negotiation, strategic sourcing, and risk management will be essential in driving procurement excellence for our capital projects.

Tendering & Supplier Selection
Manage the entire tendering process, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
Evaluate supplier bids based on cost, quality, and project requirements.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Supplier & Contract Management
Negotiate supplier contracts to secure the best value and mitigate risks.
Develop and maintain a reliable, high-quality supplier network.
Conduct supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans.
Ensure all suppliers meet compliance, safety, and quality standards.
Procurement Strategy & Compliance
Collaborate with technical teams to define procurement specifications.
Draft and review procurement contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Proactively manage procurement risks in capital projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with project managers, engineers, finance, and legal teams.
Provide regular updates on procurement progress and escalate issues when needed.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes.
