In this role, you will implement and maintain our data governance framework, working closely with data owners, IT teams, and compliance functions to embed best practices, drive data quality improvements, and support regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities:
Implement and maintain the data governance framework, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements
Develop and refine data policies, standards, and procedures to enhance data quality and compliance
Define and monitor data quality KPIs and metrics, identifying and resolving inconsistencies
Lead data remediation initiatives to maintain high data standards across the organisation
Ensure compliance with data protection laws such as GDPR and identify potential risks in data handling
Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure governance tools and systems are effectively implemented
Support the evaluation and adoption of data governance technologies, such as data catalogues and metadata management tools
Provide training and guidance to teams across the business, embedding a culture of data governance best practices
Act as a trusted advisor for governance queries, building strong relationships with key stakeholders
Track and report on the progress of governance initiatives, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement
